Guys! I miss you. This moving thing is a ton of work. There are multiple floors to move into and settle into. Baffling!
I have a more or less functional kitchen now, which is brilliant. I cooked my first meal in the new place last. By cooked, I mean I prepared some quinoa in one pan and a frozen veggie potato mix in another and then poured them together onto a plate. But dishes were used so it counts.
I also have the most gorgeous piece of art ever. It is my first original art, to hang on my first owned wall. Here is a link to the print so you can share in my glee. I have known Felix for years, but never had a place I could hang a picture. Her work is...stunning.
Oh bother, I am out of hazelnut coffee. I know there is more coffee around here somewhere...or maybe still at the old place? Half the kitchen is still over there. One huge moving push took place the few days after we closed on the house, but then both
djkc and I had to go back to work, and worked on unpacking on this end before bringing in more debris.
Saturday I will be driving to NYC to deliver a friend to her family for the holidays, then to tourist about before meeting
suricattus for some more touristing about and a much anticipated Bruce Springsteen concert. Scoff all you like, I have adored Springsteen since I was old enough to wobble around and dance to music. I use the word 'dance' loosely in this instance. And dammit, I missed out on seeing
suricattus at LunaCon. I need to make up for lost time!
Today is a massive tangle of housework, work and more housework. Most of my seedlings died in the move, so I am off to start a new herd of veggies.
