Well, that was unexpected.
Mar. 19th, 2012 11:58 amWell, I was going be at Lunacon for the release party for Modern Fae. Instead I found myself quite ill, and visiting two clinics before being sent off to the emergency room.
I had ended up with a poorly timed and particularly vicious viral infection that seemed intent of wringing every bit of liquid out of my body as fast as possible. Which is how I ended up at 4am Saturday morning with an IV in my arm.
djkc was quite the champ, taking me from doctor to doctor and only teasing me slightly for being sick. Many casual jibes are forgiven as he did spend 9 hours in a hospital with me when I am sure he would rather have been sleeping. And I am not pleasant company when sick.
After three days of no food (and no coffee...) I am starting to get back on my feet. The tragedy? I still have to unpack from Lunacon, even though I didn't actually get to leave.
