It's not an abusive relationship. We have an understanding.

Living with Lord Phaedrus takes some understanding. Poor bastard had a rough start on life before I adopted him. Humans were...less than kind to him. So I am generally forgiving of his quirks.

This morning Lord Phaedrus and I had a Disagreement. So I am off to my interview with the back of one hand looking rather worse for the wear.

To be fair, Fridays are established as days to be spent with His Lordship. Human to cat duties for Friday involve things like lounging in bed long past coffee time and extensive brushing and praising. I tried to skimp on said duties, and paid the price.

To his credit, Phaedrus did look chagrined while I was trying to bandage my hand. He has been slinking around the house and carrying on terribly. I was forced to give him some salmon so as to let him know we were still on good terms. His purr-box restored to working order, he is resting on my feet.

It's a shame I have to leave for the interview shortly...
