Books and bookstores

jpsorrow, guesting over at jimhines' journal, has an interesting post on just why shelf space in a book store is important to authors. Being able to provide this space was one of the reasons I loved managing the book store as much as I did. It is also why I take the time to review the books I read so often over at the book blog (with considerable cross linking) now that I no longer have a store.
