 So, in this post I mention that I commissioned this year's holiday cards from friend and maker unforth . 

She has decided to extend this idea to anyone else who may be interested. She has examples of photos that can be selected from in her post here. You can select which images you want and make a truly singular set of cards to send to friends and family.

Each card is hand cut from recycled paper, the photo on the front is not glued on, it is inserted into the front of the card so as to not be damaged in any way by adhesive. The backs are hand written with photo information as well as her name and the date. These are all her photos, and they are absolutely gorgeous. They are blank on the inside, and can be used for anything. I have been keeping a stock of them in the house for thank you cards as well as having something unique to send to friends when an email just isn't cool enough. The cards themselves are sturdy and come with nice envelopes.

If you are of the card-sending persuasion, consider supporting an artist, and doing something unique this holiday season. Honestly, it is just about as much as you would spend getting generic cards from the store.

And they are nicely 'wintery' without being holiday specific, if you are like me and have about every possible religion to send cards to.
