 Two new scarves complete!

Sari silk, bamboo, wool, and tencel scarf in all the colors of autumn

Vibrant blue recycled sari silk scarf

The first one is....gorgeous. The photos do not do the colors justice. It honestly looks like the trees along the mountains here in the middle of peak leaf season in the autumn. And it is so very soft.

For folks who had me set aside scarves- if you need them for the holidays, you are getting close to when it is no longer comfortable to brave the post office and send things off ( and when things will cease to make it through the kerfluffle with any sort of alacrity). I think at least one of you was having me hold one that was intended as a gift?

That being said, if you want to support my fiber habit and get a scarf for someone for a winter holiday, let me know if you need it shipped elsewhere, and if it is a gift I can pack it up all nice. There could even be pretty paper involved.

I have one more of the more traditional rainbow sari silk scarves in the works, as well as some nice earthy angora mohair fiber to work with.

This is the etsy seller I got the blue from
http://www.etsy.com/shop/BodhiYarn?ref=seller_info

They are the best, so far, for reasonable pricing with good quality fiber. There are a few sellers on etsy, but you want to make sure they are advertising high quality for the sari silk. I ended up with some I can't make scarves with- it is too rough/stiff *sigh*

I used to give the scarves away, then I became unemployed- so it really is selling in order to keep up the habit. There is just something VERY relaxing about crochet in the evening :)

Thank you! I find knitting very zen.

I was supposed to take some classes on knitting- got the needles and everything- but the first few classes were right when I was at my two weeks of conference.

Always wanted to knit, but at least I can crochet. I made a 6' by 6' sueded yarn afghan for my sister last year :)

Knitting is not difficult and not hugely different from crochet. I do both. I like all kinds of needlework.

That's a big afghan! I love to make them.
