Allergies (I hope. I will not stand for a summer cold right now) plus a (thankfully only moderate) fibro flare has me a tab bit grumpy this evening.

I am going to locate all the cats and go curl up. Cow Cat (who I keep meaning to actually call Skadi, but Cow Cat always slips out of my mouth at the last possible second) will generally curl up on my stomach, Mildmay gets the right side of me and Phaedrus takes firm possession of the left side of the bed. He is not quite sure what to make of the tiny girl cat. Mildmay, on the other hand, thinks she is rather grand.

I am really rather fond of the Cow Cat.

OMG, Cow Cat?! She does kinda look like a Holstein so I see why you are calling her that. Well we had a Batsy Catsy (was Bat Cat who did very Batman-like things until we found out how insane the animal was & adjusted the name! LOL). Allergies are raging around here as well. Even the son who almost never has a problem is living on anti-histamines. Hope this heat & humidity backs off soon. Stay cool!

We gave in and grabbed a second window AC unit so my office would not be so warm- it makes being at the computer and working so much more pleasant! The heat has been brutal this year, and so early.

We called her Cow Cat when she was just one of the neighborhood strays we fed (found out she was not a stray, and actually belonged to a neighbor who was just incredibly negligent). All of the strays had color/descriptive names- Cow Cat, Tiger Cat, Orange Cat, Strange Cat, etc. Getting her surrendered over to me, and her kittens to the rescue, was amazing :)

Much better. Just at the annoying lethargy stage of things. Had an active day yesterday and all I have wanted to do today was sleep :D

She is a brilliant little girl. It is fun watching her learn to be a house cat as opposed to a feral. This week she learned about stick toys and how fun it is to play with them :D

And so tiny! She was underweight, yes, but only 5 lbs when I took to her to the vet. A huge change from Phaedrus' 20 lbs.

Goodness, that is very tiny. Hopefully she'll gain some weight now she has a good place to live.

Heat & humidity has continued to be high here. We have central air but the bill will probably ridiculous this month. Have had predictions for rain for the past couple of weeks but didn't get any until the past 2 days with a run of thunderstorms. The ground has been so dry that trying to weed is nearly impossible. Things should be a bit easier now but it looks as if we will get more before the day is thru.

Glad that you were able to help out the mom & kittens. I get so ticked off at people who won't get their cats fixed & allow them to roam. Some people are just so stupid. sigh.
