Getting things back together

So, I have looked over what I have left, and while there is no replacing the bulk of the library, there are some books that I need back in my life. There will most likely be additions, over time, but these are the ones whose loss make me wince the most. These are the rereaders, the ones I think of immediately when I am sad the books are gone. For everyone who has asked what they can help with, what I need- honestly, a book off this list would be brilliant. We have the basics, these books would be a great comfort.

Flood Recovery list

[livejournal.com profile] djkc and I have more or less settled into the new place. We need to get uncluttered enough to get the ferrets and Ferdinand back to living with us (life without ferrets has been strange). Apart from being exhausted and a little wired from being constantly in 'go' mode for weeks on end at this point, we are doing well. We are very lucky in our friends and family. Very lucky. And we are very thankful.

So sorry about your losses during the flooding. Have been in NY clearing out my parents' home & keeping as many books as possible. Way too many have been damaged in flooding to the point that they aren't keepable. Yeah not a word but you get my meaning. Had to do the same here about 10 yrs ago when our basement flooded. Not anything near as bad as you have recently been through though. All of the animals made it ok?

All of the animals made it through alright. Some are still scattered in foster homes as [livejournal.com profile] djkc and I get ourselves back together, but we hope to have everyone home within the week.
