Ferret-y comings and goings

So, my beautiful Sigyn has been adopted. I was contacted by the local emergency animal response team on behalf of someone who had lost one of their ferrets in the flooding in the fall, and their remaining one was pining. They, amusingly enough, migrated to the same hill [livejournal.com profile] djkc and I bought a house atop, so at least Sigyn has not gone far.

Two days before Sigyn went home, two three year old males were turned over to me. We have named them Jonothan (family joke between my sisters, Nana, and myself) and Oscar. Jonothan is a hellion, while Oscar mostly trundles about quietly. He did get a bit riled up over toys last night though.

This is Jonothan-

and this is Oscar

Yay for adoptions! The ferrets in your care are all so sweet. My Mom was surprised at how tame they seemed.

You always adopt out the really remarkable looking ones! She was the one I could still tell apart admist all our sables!
..of course, she also liked to bit my toes for some reason. Apparently, they were yummy. (You should have seen me last time.....Sigrun! No, Molly! Damn it...er....you know, from the butt, you all look alike. Just stop chewing on that one. Really.)

I feel so bad for Sigyn's new family- losing one of their ferrets must have been terrible for them. I hope Sigyn is happy there with them. <3

Awww, Oscar's little face. My favorite ferret growing up was a teeny tiny sable- seriously, she was easily half the size of the big albino male we had at the same time. They were both awesome ferrets, but she was such a love. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for sables.
