You know. The one about the kookaburra. Sitting in the gum tree.

I visited with corvus_animus on Saturday and she just happens to have a kookaburra wintering in her home. I merrily decided, after interaction and some queries about its lifestyle, that this is the next companion bird for me, years down the road when I no longer have the benefit of sharing my home with a starling. I really love softbills more than hookbills anyway.
